"Restuss and Narmle, which are what I suppose you'd call friendly rivals, hold debates every so often between the cities' finest minds. Victory for Restuss will prove our superiority over that rabble in Narmle."
―Indintra Imbru Yerevan, to a spacer[1]

Indintra Imbru Yerevan was a Human female socialite in the city of Restuss on Naboo's moon of Rori. During the time of the Galactic Civil War, she was known for hosting salons and orchestrating the prestigious Great Conversation debates, where Restuss and its rival city of Narmle competed for intellectual and civic prestige. Through her charm and influence, Indintra shaped the social and political landscape of Restuss, manipulating alliances and rivalries to advance her city’s standing. Though her ambitions were initially confined to debate halls and private gatherings, the escalating war eventually reached Restuss, drawing her into events far beyond the scope of her original intrigues.

Biography

The Great Conversation preparations

"Darling, everyone who is anyone will be attending the next 'Great Conversation' debate—including, I'm told, that nasty Narmle scholar Ingon Lakbo. His attendance would be disastrous, simply disastrous. Would you kindly deliver this suggestion to a dear friend that might lure Mr. Lakbo away from the debate?"
―Indintra Imbru Yerevan, to a spacer[1]

The female Human Indintra Imbru Yerevan was a prominent socialite living in the city of Restuss on Naboo's moon of Rori during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Known for her elegance and influence, she played a key role in organizing events that blended intellectual debate and political maneuvering. Among these was the celebrated "Great Conversation," a recurring public debate held between the finest minds of Restuss and the rival city of Narmle. Victory in these debates was a matter of civic pride, with both cities striving to demonstrate the superiority of their scholars and philosophies.[1]

In the lead-up to one such debate,[1] in 1 ABY,[2] Indintra, who operated from the lounge of the Restuss Hotel, learned that the noted Narmle scholar Ingon Lakbo was likely to attend as a representative for his city. Concerned that his participation would tip the balance of the debate against Restuss, she devised a plan to discreetly ensure his absence. She recruited a spacer to deliver a carefully worded suggestion to her trusted friend Briska Gil, who also happened to be a close acquaintance of Lakbo.[1]

Indintra’s scheme was deceptively simple: Briska was to host an exclusive dinner party at the same time as the debate, enticing Lakbo to attend and thus preventing him from participating. Though Indintra described the plan as entirely innocent, she made it clear that Lakbo’s absence was essential to preserving Restuss’s standing. The spacer was instructed to deliver the message to Briska personally rather than through any intermediaries, ensuring its secrecy and proper delivery.[1]

During the journey to Briska, the spacer was accosted by a hostile thug attempting to block the delivery. After defeating the attacker, the spacer continued on to find Briska. Once the message was safely handed off, Indintra was delighted that her plan was in motion. She rewarded the spacer with credits, acknowledging their assistance and noting that she had further tasks in mind to secure victory for Restuss.[1]

Former Lovers

"My plans are proceeding nicely for the next 'Great Conversation' debate. Now that Ingon Lakbo has declined to support that rabble in Narmle, I expect their next choice will be a philosopher named Bieque Lozan-Lippid. I believe I can counter his influence with your help. Will you deliver this invitation?"
"How will this invitation counter the philosopher's influence in the debate?"
"I am inviting Bieque Lozan-Lippid's former paramour, Shaultra Loraweet, to take part in the debate on behalf of Restuss. Shaultra and Bieque parted on bad terms, and I expect her presence will cause Bieque much distraction. In the best case, he might even make a scene and be summarily ejected. Will you deliver this invitation to Shaultra?
"
―Indintra Imbru Yerevan and a spacer[1]

Indintra’s scheme to secure victory for Restuss in the upcoming Great Conversation debate did not end with diverting Ingon Lakbo. Once Lakbo was out of the picture, she anticipated that Narmle would recruit another renowned philosopher, Bieque Lozan-Lippid, to champion their side. To counter this threat, Indintra devised a more personal and disruptive plan. She again turned to the same trusted spacer, tasking them with delivering an invitation to Shaultra Loraweet, Lozan-Lippid’s former lover, asking her to represent Restuss in the debate.[1]

Indintra explained that Shaultra and Bieque had parted on bitter terms following a heated argument about philosophical matters. She hoped that Shaultra’s unexpected presence would unnerve Bieque, distracting him during the debate. In an ideal outcome, the confrontation might even provoke him into causing a scene, potentially leading to his removal from the event entirely. Indintra instructed the spacer to ensure the invitation was delivered directly to Shaultra in person, warning them not to entrust it to any protocol droid along the way.[1]

On the way to deliver the invitation, the spacer was again confronted by a thug in the wilderness. After dispatching the attacker, the spacer proceeded without further incident and successfully delivered the invitation to Shaultra. Shaultra, still harboring resentment toward Bieque for past slights and their intellectual disputes, agreed to attend. Upon the spacer's return to Restuss, Indintra expressed delight, gloating about the discomfort Bieque would soon endure. She rewarded the individual with credits, remarking that she could hardly wait to see the look on Bieque’s face when confronted by his former paramour, certain that the encounter would derail Narmle’s position in the debate.[1]

Evacuation of Restuss

"I am investigating the military buildup here in Restuss. It has already caused the entire city to be evacuated, displacing thousands of families."
Marles Jacobe, to a spacer[3]

What had once been a friendly rivalry between Restuss and Narmle, measured in lively debates and civic pride,[1] was soon eclipsed by the far greater struggle of the Galactic Civil War. A dramatic military buildup around Restuss began when the Galactic Empire established a covert research program in the city to develop the Star Core, a compact energy cell intended to power Death Star–scale operations. Rebel reconnaissance discovered the project, prompting both factions to construct forward bases on opposite sides of Restuss and to mobilize for a major confrontation over the device.[4][5]

With open fighting imminent, Imperial authorities ordered all civilians to evacuate the city.[6] Indintra Imbru Yerevan, whose salons and debate planning had once defined Restuss’s social life,[1] was removed along with the other noncombatants. When the Battle of Restuss culminated in the Star Core’s catastrophic detonation and the city’s destruction, Indintra was not present in the aftermath, bringing an end to her role in the city’s social and political life.[3]

Personality and traits

"Splendid. I can hardly wait to see the look of appalled affront on Bieque's face when he sees his paramour at the debate. He won't retain the intellectual capacity of a frightened borgle."
―Indintra Imbru Yerevan upon hearing her plan succeeded[1]

Indintra Imbru Yerevan was fair-skinned with light brown hair and brown eyes. A refined and ambitious socialite, she thrived in the political and cultural circles of Restuss. She carried herself with elegance and authority, speaking in polished, formal tones and often addressing others with pet names such as "darling." Indintra valued influence and appearances, seeing the prestigious Great Conversation debates as both intellectual contests and opportunities to assert Restuss’s social superiority over its rival city, Narmle.[1]

Her dialogue revealed a manipulative streak, as she orchestrated schemes to benefit Restuss while maintaining the outward appearance of propriety. Indintra’s plans were couched in seemingly innocent gestures, such as arranging a dinner party or extending a debate invitation, yet they were carefully designed to disrupt Narmle’s representation and secure victory for her own city. She showed little hesitation in exploiting personal relationships, such as inviting Shaultra Loraweet to the debate specifically to unsettle her former lover, Bieque Lozan-Lippid.[1]

Indintra displayed a sharp wit and a flair for the dramatic. She was quick to express displeasure when tasks were delayed, often describing such setbacks as "vexing," and her satisfaction when plans succeeded was equally emphatic. While she relied on others to carry out her errands, she retained full control over the strategy behind them, ensuring that each move served her broader goal of elevating Restuss’s reputation. Beneath her graceful demeanor lay a calculating mind, adept at navigating the social and political rivalries that defined life in Rori’s cities.[1]

Equipment

"Deliver this invitation into Shaultra Loraweet's hands, and on no account be distracted by any pesky protocol droids."
―Indintra Imbru Yerevan, to a spacer[1]

Indintra Imbru Yerevan exhibited a refined and elegant appearance, wearing attire that befitted her status as a prominent Restuss socialite. Her clothing included a grand ball gown, featuring a cream-colored bodice and sleeves that faded into a deep red skirt. Her ensemble was complemented by leather work gloves in a pale tone and a pair of red dress slippers. While primarily a figure of culture and politics,[1] Indintra also possessed light Rebel weapons.[7]

Behind the scenes

"You could not deliver a simple suggestion? Really, you vex me beyond words."
―Indintra Imbru Yerevan, upon a failed delivery quest[1]

Indintra Imbru Yerevan was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[8]

She originally appeared in the city of Restuss on Rori, where she offered a short two-part questline to players. The first quest tasked the player with delivering a message to Briska Gil, during which the player would encounter a hostile thug. The second quest involved delivering an invitation to Shaultra Loraweet, again with a single thug attacking along the way. These quests rewarded players with credits upon completion, with 40 credits awarded for the first and 75 credits for the second.[1]

As part of a major game update leading up to the Battle of Restuss, the developers reduced the amount of NPCs in the city to prepare for large-scale Player versus Player conflict. This update, introduced on June 27, 2006 with the release of Chapter 1.1,[9] removed Indintra and other characters from Restuss. With her departure, her quests became permanently unavailable, and the hotel where she once appeared was later transformed into part of the ruined battlefield seen during and after the event.[3]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
