The Impenetrable was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer that was a part of the navy of the Galactic Empire.[2] Manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards and measuring 1,600 meters in length,[1] it served as the flagship of Grand Admiral Danetta Pitta,[2] who was killed while commanding a torpedo sphere in the Battle of Tralus[3] of 5 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Impenetrable was originally created by Daniel Wallace and Abel G. Peña and was to be mentioned in an article on the Galactic Empire's Grand Admirals that was written for an issue of the Star Wars Gamer magazine. The publication of the article was prevented by that magazine's eventual cancellation,[5] although a mention of the starship went on to be included in 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.[2]
