Ice-spiders were a type of spider that wove webs. While aboard their Brightbird starship[1] in 382 BBY,[2] the pilot Sky Graf worked with their colleagues—their friend Dass Leffbruk and Jedi Padawan Rooper Nitani—to use a Graf astro-resonance machine to attempt navigating to the planet known as Planet X. Leffbruck inspected the wiring of the device, comparing it to ice-spider webs rather than something that could help their group navigate hyperspace.[1]

Ice-spiders were mentioned in the 2023 junior novel The High Republic: Quest for Planet X, written by Tessa Gratton for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[3]
