The Hyperspace Chase was a contest to route Hyperspace lanes sponsored by the two biggest prospecting families, the San Tekkas and the Grafs.^[1]

Prelude

The Path of the Open Hand member Fel Ix was sent on the Chase by the Mother the day after the Battle of Jedha. In preparation Fel Ix memorized the Graffian slicer code. Fel Ix's partners Er Dal and Ferize as well as Marda Ro warned him that he would encounter Jedi on the mission.^[1]

The San Tekka clan provided Spence and Dass Leffbruk with a ship, which the two hoped to use to return to Planet X in Wild Space to recover their ship the Silverstreak, which they had been forced to leave behind when they visited the planet before.^[1]
