Huwawi was a language spoken by the Huwawan species which featured multiple dialect variations. The brothers Taibik and Wiltoo Kajok[1] who had taken up residence on the planet Khofar[2] by 132 BBY[3] spoke an obscure variant of Huwawi that was difficult for even Jedi translatacomps to translate.[1]
Behind the scenes
Huwawi can first be heard in the fourth episode of the 2024 television series, Star Wars: The Acolyte, directed by Alex García López.[2] The language's name was revealed within the Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide[1] which released in select countries on June 5, 2025.[4]
