- "My old man was a lost prince, seventh in line to the throne of Hovea Nuket IV. He ran away when his family refused to bless his marriage to a dancing girl."
"Liar." - ―Han and Qi'ra
Han (left) told Qi'ra (right) that his father had been seventh in line to the throne of Hovea Nuket IV.
Hovea Nuket IV was a fictious location.[2] In 13 BBY,[3] the scrumrats Han and Qi'ra spoke abut how they had come to be part of the White Worms criminal organization on[1] the Core Worlds[4] planet Corellia. After Qi'ra asked Han about his parents, he told her that his father had been a lost prince who had been seventh in line to the throne of Hovea Nuket IV, but he had run away when his family refused to bless his marriage to a dancing girl. In response, Qi'ra called Han a liar and he grinned. Han's father[1]—a man named Ovan[5]—had worked at a freighter factory on Corellia[1] and died in 24 BBY, after which his son joined the White Worms.[6]
Behind the scenes
Hovea Nuket IV was mentioned in the 2018 young-adult novel Most Wanted, written by Rae Carson.[1] After Hovea Nuket IV was not included in "Star Systems of the Galaxy,"[2] an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[7] on June 24, 2025,[8] Jason Fry[2]—who authored both sources[8]—stated that it had not been included due to the fact it was not a real location.[2]
