Hindle was a planet[2] in the Hindle system of the Core Worlds[1] that was a key manufacturing world for the Galactic Empire. At some point, Hindle had been farmed and as a result of a drought been subjected to ecological disaster. At the start of the Galactic Civil War, the Empire arrived on the planet and developed factories, provided housing and gave support to local residents.[2] In 4 ABY,[3] after the Battle of Endor and with the fall of the Empire, Hindle's economy was projected to collapse by the economist Kriz Tray.[2]

Hindle appeared on a screen in The Princess and the Scoundrel, a 2022 novel written by Beth Revis.[2]
