A henge was a rock structure consisting of multiple pillars arranged in a circle. A henge was located on the planet Peridea, which was once part of the ancient Witch Kingdom of the Dathmiri. Traveling from their home galaxy to another, the Dathomiri built another henge on the planet Seatos eons before[1] 9 ABY[2] as a means to locate their home during their journeys through the intergalactic void. The henge on Seatos served as a reflex point using magick, working in conjunction with a star map that the Dathomiri Nightsisters hid on the world Arcana to show the Pathway to Peridea.[1]
Behind the scenes
The stone circles on Seatos and Peridea are referred to as henges in the Star Wars: Ahsoka television series.[3] In the real-world, a henge is a circular earthen bank with an enclosed ditch originating in the British Isles during Neolithic times,[4] with the oldest known henge dating from around 3000 BC located on the Orkney Islands.[5] While henges are not stone circles, the two Neolithic structures sometimes coincide.[4]
