Official description

With the Millennium Falcon under attack while Chewbacca pilots, it's down to R2-D2 and BB-8 to fix the ship before it crashes! Will they save the day and dodge the enemy ships before it's too late?[1]

Plot summary

The Millennium Falcon zooms through space, pursued by First Order TIE fighters. As the TIEs' laser fire rattles the Falcon, its pilot, Chewbacca, notices alarms from a damaged system. He asks the astromech droids R2-D2 and BB-8 to go make any necessary repairs. The droids salute their affirmation and locate a sparking component among three large technical panels. R2-D2 solders the component but doing so causes another component to begin sparking. BB-8 quickly goes to solder the new part, but that causes the first one to begin sparking again.

The two droids go back and forth attempting to stop the vicious cycle. Wising up, R2-D2 suggests they solder the systems simultaneously. He counts down and they synchronously perform the repairs. This does not have the desired effect. Rather, the central panel blows completely off the wall and the Millennium Falcon's systems completely shut down, leaving the droids in darkness and the ship immobile among the enemy fighters.

As Chewbacca roars his frustration, BB-8 ignites his flame for light. The droids start trying to plug various cables into ports. This turns the light back on, but only restored the left third of the ship's thrusters. The Millennium Falcon careens to the starboard in circles as the TIEs fly in tight formation to pursue the erratically flying freighter. R2-D2 manages to hold on with his grappling hook, and the droids are able to regain control of the ship. Nevertheless, BB-8 is flung into a systems console, showing him proximity readouts of the battle. He sees as two of the TIEs slam into one another after the Falcon unexpectedly stops.

Realizing that they have full control of the ship, BB-8 and R2-D2 collaborate to maneuver the ship in unpredictable ways such that the TIEs keep colliding with one another. Once all the TIEs are destroyed, the droids celebrate their victory. They are soon approached by a stern-looking Chewbacca, and the droids attempt to place blame on one another for their actions. Chewbacca is not upset, however, and gratefully embraces the two droids in a hug.

Continuity

Despite taking place after the events of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi,[2] the Millennium Falcon features its rectenna as it appears in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi.[3][4]
