The Heliko were a sharklike sentient species from the aquatic planet Helikoprion. They were distantly related to the Karkarodon species, with whom they came into conflict with by the High Republic Era. The Heliko possessed clawed hands and flippered feet, as well as jaws that could unhinge to reveal several rows of sharp teeth. When in dry climates, the Heliko could dehydrate unless they wore a climate-regulating suit that would release vapor along their gills. During the High Republic Era, Haze Delik was a Heliko who joined the Nihil marauders.[1]
