The Halbara system was a star system in the Elrood sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Western Reaches.[2] It fell within grid square M-20 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained Halbara, a location that was the origin point of a ornate golden outfit that Galactic Republic senator Ister Paddie wore during the Separatist Crisis[3] in 22 BBY.[4]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Halbara system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[5] The Halbara system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Planets of the Galaxy, Volume Three, a 1993 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by John Terra and published by West End Games.[6] It then first appeared in Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power Campaigns, a 1997 expansion pack for the LucasArts video game Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.[7]
