"I just fired and fired, but the leader, the Kriss woman, she didn't even flinch. She just swept up that damn saber and swatted my blaster bolt away like she was batting for the Hadros Vipers…straight into Tasia's leg!"
―Andrik Keller, on Avar Kriss[1]

The Hadros Vipers were a sports team active during the High Republic Era that took part in a sport where an individual batted.[1] They originated from[2] the Outer Rim's Hadros system,[3] and shared their name with[4] the planet[5] Hadros[4] in that system.[3] While speaking about[6] Jedi Master[7] Avar Kriss[6] in 231 BBY,[8] Nihil pirate Andrik Keller told former Nihil Tempest Runner Pan Eyta of how during the Battle of Galov[1] earlier that year,[7] Kriss had used her lightsaber to swat away his blaster fire into the leg of Nihil Storm Tasia like the Jedi had been batting for the Hadros Vipers.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Hadros Vipers were mentioned in The High Republic: Tempest Runner, a 2021 audio drama written by Cavan Scott and published as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[6] Phase I.[9] The spelling of the team's name was later confirmed with the release of the audio drama's script in 2022.[1]
