The HV-7 loading droid was a small hovering utility droid that utilized repulsor technology to lift heavy loads, eliminating the need for the huge bulk-loader droids used previously. They could fold up into a disc, which made them take up less space.[1]

Popular amongst smugglers, these droids helped Baktoid Industrial Systems reinvent its image after Baktoid's role in the Clone Wars.[1] During the Second Imperial Civil War in 137 ABY several units stationed on Mon Calamari Orbital Shipyard,[2]
