Guardians were elite agents within the Protectorate Branch of the Pentastar Alignment. Several Guardians served as Grand Moff Ardus Kaine's bodyguards.
History
The Guardians were established under the Protectorate Branch of the Pentastar Alignment which replaced the Internal Security Branch of the Ubiqtorate and the Imperial Guard Corps. Recruits were sourced from former fanatical CompForce troops rather than regular Army or Navy personnel to ensure total loyalty to the Alignment. They were graded "1" on a scale of ten when compared to other Protectorate agents, marking them as the most elite troops in the Protectorate.
They served as the protectors of the members of the Chamber of Order, Great InQuestors of the Judgement Branch, and Grand Moff Ardus Kaine. When commanded by Great InQuestors, Guardians sought out miscreants and lawbreakers for the InQuestors to cross examine. Guardians chauffeured Kaine about, checked his food, and interrogated droids and servants at random.
