Grilled vando-fruit was a type of fruit dish that partially shared its name with vando wrap, another type of food. Shortly before the Republic Fair on the Outer Rim planet Valo[1] in 231 BBY,[2] the fair's coordinator, Samera Ra-oon, gave a tour to some visitors who had arrived early to tour the event's venue. She suggested they share some grilled vando-fruit for lunch on the platform themed after the planet Hetzal Prime after their long journeys to arrive on Valo, thinking they would find it especially pleasing.[1]

Behind the scenes

Grilled vando-fruit was mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[3]
