The planet[3] Tothis had a nightclub called the Green Planet,[1] which was also a cantina.[4] The musicians Sy Snootles and Greeata Jendowanian worked there for a time[2] and were the only employees not addicted to spice.[1] In the final years of the Clone Wars,[5] a conflict that lasted from 22 to 19 BBY,[6] musician Evar Orbus visited the Green Planet while looking for members to join his band, ultimately hiring both Jendowanian and Snootles[1] after Orbus's bandmate Max Rebo noticed the pair and was taken in by Snootles' singing.[7]
Behind the scenes
The Green Planet was first indirectly mentioned in 1997's Star Wars Trilogy Sourcebook, Special Edition, a supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[7] The cantina was first named in "Who's Who in the Max Rebo Band," an article Rich Handley wrote for the sixty-seventh issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine,[1] which was published on April 15, 2003.[8]
