The greater cake tree[2] was a species of tree that existed on the Outer Rim Territories planet Saleucami.[1] The tree was named after cake because, like many cakes, it was layered,[2] with each layer smaller than the other. Between the layers, red fruit and herby green leaves grew and could be used as ingredients in food.[3] The species was extremely tall and appeared very thick, covering the surface of Saleucami.[1] Flocks of starklebirds took shelter in these trees.[2]
