The Great Municipal Band was a Gungan marching band on the planet Naboo.[2] After the Battle of Naboo, the Gungans put on the "Liberation Day" Parade in downtown Theed, celebrating their new friendship with the Naboo people. One of the songs performed was "Symponik Nabooalla" led by bandleaders Augara Jowil and Beezar Pert.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Great Municipal Band made its first appearance in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace during the movie's final scene depicting the victory parade in the city of Theed,[2] but was first named in the title of the last track of the film's soundtrack, "Augie's Great Municipal Band".[3]
