Jedi Master Indara was adept at Gravik-nez.
Gravik-nez was one of several fighting disciplines that Indara, a human Jedi Master, had become adept at prior to her death[1] in 132 BBY[2] during the High Republic Era. During her life, Indara had served as a Jedi Wayseeker and traveled widely to study esoteric and exotic martial arts under varied masters. This enriched the understanding she had of her connection to the Force, and she recorded a summary of the experiences in a Jedi holocron known as the Indara Lessons. The holocron was stored in the Jedi Archives of the Jedi Temple on[1] the planet[3] Coruscant and was regularly checked out by Padawans looking to expand their defensive skills.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Gravik-nez was mentioned in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The martial art originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it appeared in "Escape Into Terror," the second episode of the animated television series Star Wars: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO,[4] which aired on September 14, 1985.[5]
