A grapefruit was a type of fruit.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] on the swamp planet Dagobah, Jedi-in-training Luke Skywalker was instructed by Jedi Master Yoda to lift and stack two grapefruit-sized stones with the Force.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, grapefruits were mentioned in the 2015 junior novel The Empire Strikes Back: So You Want to Be a Jedi?, which was written by Adam Gidwitz and adapts the film Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, grapefruits were mentioned in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars junior novelization, which was written by Tracey West and published in 2008.[3]
