The Kurost sector was a sector where the Galactic Empire operated a transfer point for supplies directed to Project Stardust. Grand Admiral Balanhai Savit organized the theft of components vital to Stardust's construction from starships leaving the transfer point.[2]

The Grysk Hegemony was discovered to be sending forces into the Kurost sector, signifying a territorial interest in invasion of Imperial space.[2]
