Gorg on a stick, also known as gorg skewers, was a type of roasted meat that featured an entire skewered gorg. In 9 ABY, the food item became a sponsor of the competitive sporting show Hunters of the Outer Rim on the planet Vespaara and was advertised during its matches by the droid announcer L-X1. The item could also be found arranged by the dozen in bouquets. Around the same time, the food item was then displayed as an advertisement within the Coruscant Underworld battlefield at the Grand Arena.

Description

Gorg on a stick, also known as gorg skewers, was a type of skewered food consisting of an entire roasted gorg. The food itself was widely available as it was sold wherever fine meats were. Additionally, gorg on a stick could also be arranged by the dozen in a bouquet.^[1]

History

In 9 ABY,^[2] during the competitive sporting show Hunters of the Outer Rim on the planet Vespaara, gorg on a stick was one of the many event sponsors to be advertised by the droid announcer L-X1 during matches. Around the same time, following the construction of the Coruscant Underworld battlefield at the Grand Arena, an advertisement for gorg skewers was displayed within the battlefield.^[1]

Gorg on a stick first appeared in the canonical video game Star Wars: Hunters, which was developed by NaturalMotion's BossAlien and published by Zynga^[1] on November 16, 2021, as a soft-launch to select countries,^[3] before the global release on June 4, 2024.^[4] The food item appeared within the Coruscant Underworld map as an in-universe advertisement,^[1] which was added on January 27, 2025.^[5] Prior to its appearance, the food item was mentioned in some of the many voice lines spoken by L-X1 during gameplay.^[1]
