L-X1, also referred to as Lexi, was an announcer droid at the Grand Arena on Vespaara together with Boz Vega.[1] L-X1 was an apparent fan of the Hunter J-3DI, keeping a figurine of him on her desk,[4] and commenting on his performance during exhibitions. L-X1 has also stated that "Trophy Chase" is one of her favorite arena games.[3]
Biography
Although the task of interviewing Hunters for Arena News typically fell to Boz Vega, on some occasions, L-X1 would fill in for him. As Vega couldn't speak Ewokese, L-X1 interviewed the Ewok Hunter Pilbush in his stead. Pilbush spoke excitedly about her time thus far in the Arena.[5] After a Clash between Diago Velaar and Nox, L-X1 hosted an interview with Diago. Diago spoke highly of Nox, and admitted that he was very pleased with his win. The interview was occasionally brought off-track due to L-X1's unfamiliarity with organic social norms.[6]
When the Coruscanti Kubaz Glikkin joined the Hunters, L-X1 sat down with the thief for what turned out to be a disorienting interview. Glikkin spent the interview showing off his gadgetry, first activating his optical dephaser and running around the room, seemingly invisible, although he did not fool L-X1's thermal heat indicator. Next, he slammed his vibroblades into the table in front of him and spoke about them at length. As the interview came to a close, Boz Vega entered the room with a cup of caf to see how L-X1's interview was going. Glikkin turned invisible, stole Vega's mug as part of an ongoing scavenger hunt, and left.[7]
Her next interview was even more chaotic. The subjects, a brother pair of Jawa Hunters collectively referred to as Utooni walked into the room cuddling the Arena's trophy droid, TR0-F33. L-X1 demanded they release him, which they reluctantly did after L-X1 promised to let Balada know they had caught him, TR0-F33 being on the list for the scavenger hunt in which Utooni and Glikkin were competing. L-X1 asked Utooni for their individual names and the pair answered her, but as their names involved a a lot of emitted scents and sniffing, L-X1 was unable to translate the name from Jawaese to Basic and continued to refer to them as Utooni. They gave vague answers as to the meaning of the word "Utooni," frustrating L-X1, who lost it entirely as the two began sobbing about how much they missed TR0-F33. As they ran off to find the hapless trophy droid, L-X1 angrily ended the interview.[8]
Shortly after the scavenger hunt ended, Glikkin crept up on Utooni at the training ground, vibroblades in hand. L-X1 hurried to intervene, but Glikkin had only approached to pay the Jawa brothers a genuine compliment, which the Jawas earnestly reciprocated.[9]
Behind the scenes
- "She's a droid purposefully built for the occasion with detailed arena history, immediate stat calculations, and a tiny bit snarky. She counters Boz's energy, but she bounces off Boz really, really well. She's our play-by-play commentator, and she's fond of J-3DI."

L-X1 was first visually depicted through a sticker in Star Wars: Hunters.
L-X1 first appeared in the video game Star Wars: Hunters,[3] which soft-launched on November 16, 2021, to select countries;[10] however, the droid can only be heard as one of the announcers alongside Vega. Lexi was later pictured during update 0.18.0 as a sticker for players to emote with,[3] which was released on September 13, 2023,[11] before finally being fully revealed in the "Star Wars: Hunters Launch Date Reveal Trailer" posted on April 30, 2024.[4]
