Golbah hive was a major city[2] on the planet Geonosis and a notable hive of the Geonosian species. It wielded huge influence over the world's political system[1]—which included ten prime hives[3]—but was eventually destroyed.[2] When the Galactic Empire sterilized Geonosis around 9 BBY,[4] all bar one of the Geonosians on the world were killed.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Golbah hive was first mentioned in the 2015 reference book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know.[5] The hive originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was mentioned in Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds, a 2004 supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game produced by Wizards of the Coast.[6]
