The Golan-II Defense Platform was a class of space station that was manufactured by Golan Arms and used by the Galactic Empire's Imperial Navy. It was much larger and more heavily armed than the Golan I Space Defense Platform, and along with the Golan III defense platform, dozens were in orbit of Coruscant and other important Imperial Core Worlds for defense.[1] Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY[2] one such platform forming part of Coruscant's defense screen was activated by the Naval Intelligence Agency to repel a Rebel aerial assault on Coruscant, shooting down an RZ-1 A-wing interceptor before the rest of the strike team flew past it.[3]
