The Godoans were a sentient species of deeply religious people who had a great reverence for the Dancing Goddess idol.[1] They originated from the Godo system.[2]
History
At one point, their idol was acquired by Barpotomous Drebble, but it was stolen from him[1] and wound up in the collection of Dryden Vos, the public face of the crime syndicate Crimson Dawn.[3]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats the Godo system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Godoan species.
