Glowbugs were a type of insect found on[1] the Outer Rim[3] planet Belsavis. While on Belsavis[1] in 12 ABY,[4] Jedi Master Luke Skywalker noticed some glowbugs flying alongside moths in the light of streetlamps and windows at night.[1] During her search for the Sith Saber Querdan Dei on[2] the Outer Rim[3] planet Klatooine[2] in 44 ABY,[5] the girl Allana Solo compared her search to the difficulty of finding an individual glowbug, reflecting that they were easier to find in small groups flying over ponds rather than in large clouds in cities.[2]
Behind the scenes
Glowbugs first appeared in the 1995 novel Children of the Jedi, written by Barbara Hambly.[1]
