Gilvaanen

Gilvaanen was a backwater planet[1] located in the Gilvaanen system in the Inner Rim Territories.[2] Prior to the Galactic Civil War, Gilvaanen housed production facilities for Imperial stormtrooper armor. When Count Denetrius Vidian and Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin discovered and prevented an insurgence in the facilities, Vidian placed the production chain under the direction of Lieutenant Everi Chalis.[1]

Behind the scenes

Gilvaanen first appeared in "Bottleneck," a short story published within The Rise of the Empire in 2015. Written by John Jackson Miller, "Bottleneck" bridges the novels Tarkin and A New Dawn.[3]
