Geris VI was a planet that occupied the sixth orbital position[3] in the Geris system, a part of the Trans-Vulta sector[1] in the Trans-Hydian portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] At some point, it became one of the first worlds to ban mercenaries of[3] the Mandalorian warrior culture[4]—particularly those hired by the planetary government—from drinking[3] in local tapcafs. The Mandalorian drinking song Naasad'guur mhi – Mhi n'ulu dated from that ban.[4]
Behind the scenes
Geris VI was first mentioned in Republic Commando: True Colors, Karen Traviss' 2007 third novel of the Republic Commando series.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Geris system, and therefore Geris VI, in grid square O-7.[2]
