Gehenbar hive was a notable Geonosian hive[1] and a major city[2] on the planet Geonosis. It wielded huge influence over the political system of the world's Geonosian species,[1] which included ten prime hives.[3] All bar one of the Geonosians on Geonosis were wiped out when the Galactic Empire sterilized the planet[1] around 9 BBY.[4]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Gehenbar hive was first mentioned in the 2015 reference book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know.[5] The hive originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was mentioned in Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds, a 2004 supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game produced by Wizards of the Coast.[6]
