Gak's was a bar that operated on Kwenn Space Station during the Galactic Civil War. In 3 ABY a group of Rebel Alliance operatives ventured to the bar to rendezvous with the Bothan agent Corl'ya.

Description

Gak's was a seedy bar that operated on Kwenn Space Station,[1] a shadowport in Mid Rim.[2] The bar had a similar atmosphere to the Mos Eisley Cantina[1] on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine.[3]

History

During the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Chadra-Fan bounty hunter Tutti Snibit often frequented Gak's.[4] In 3 ABY[5] a group of Rebel Alliance operatives assembled at Gak's to rendezvous with the Bothan Rebel agent Corl'ya. However, Cor'lya did not make an appearance at the bar and after the operatives had been waiting for an hour they left Gak's to return to their starship.[1]

Behind the scenes

Gak's was first mentioned in the Star Wars Legends roleplaying adventure Child of Light, written by Lee Pickler and published by RPGA in 2000.[1] The bar was later referenced in The Not-So Magnificent Seven, a 2013 StarWars.com blog entry by Greg Mitchell.[4]

  5. "Child of Light" is set four months after the Battle of Hoth, an event that is dated by The Essential Atlas to the sixth month of the year 3 ABY. As the Atlas states that there are twelve months in the Galactic Standard Calendar, it can therefore be inferred that Child of Light takes place in the tenth month of 3 ABY.
