A fuel slug was a solid form of condensed fuel or propellant. Droid starfighters made use of Solid fuel-concentrate slugs, a type of fuel slug. AT-ATs used this type of fuel.
Fuel slugs were used in beamdrills, where they were ignited by catalysts charged by power cells. The resulting reaction caused an intense energy conversion process that was funnelled in the drill's actuator to produce a high-powered energized plasma cutting beam.[1]
