- "Fresh start, eh? New beginnings. We just happen to have an immediate opening in Fuel Purity. I'd hate to see you miss your chance."
- ―Flob
Fuel Purity was a sector within the Galactic Empire's Imperial Bureau of Standards. The disgraced corpo Syril Karn was hired to fill an immediate vacancy in Fuel Purity[1] in 5 BBY[2] after his influential uncle Harlo arranged for him to attend an interview with the functionary Flob at the bureau's office on the planet Coruscant. In his new[1] mediocre office job,[3] Karn sat in a cubicle pod in the office and monitored two screens of data.[1] He earned a promotion soon after starting after the Imperial Security Bureau gave him a "clean bill of health" following an interrogation.[4]
Behind the scenes
Fuel Purity was created for the television series Star Wars: Andor, first appearing in the seventh episode, "Announcement,"[1] which aired on October 19, 2022.[5]
