Fromprath

The Fromprath were a sentient, snakelike, six-armed species that lived in the galaxy. Hundreds of years[1] before 3 BBY,[2] the Fromprath lived on an Outer Rim planet[3] but were forced to live in exile away from the planet after being forced out[1] by the Nightsisters, who renamed the world Dathomir.[3]

During their rule over Dathomir,[3] the Fromprath had exploited the world's natural resources. The Nightsisters formed a symbiotic alliance with rancors in order to drive out the Fromprath[4] and claim the world for themselves,[3] much to the sorrow of the Fromprath. Frapsen was a male Fromprath musician who played at the castle of Maz Kanata[1] around 3 BBY.[2]

Behind the scenes

The reference book Star Wars: The Dark Side suggested that the Fromprath were colonizers of Dathomir.[4] However, the later reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy, building off the lore established about the Nightsisters introduced in Star Wars: Ahsoka, instead established that the Fromprath had been the inhabitants of Dathomir before the Nightsisters had arrived.[3]
