Wookieepedia:Words of wisdom
To keep this short and sweet, this page is a relic of the past that has no purpose in this day and age. It was imported from Wikipedia back in 2007, and far as I can tell has never actually been formally adopted. It's just a large, outdated essay. Anything of importance here is already listed in policies. Not to beat around the bush too, but historically, a cabal has existed here. A small group of users controlled how things worked for years and pointed to this page as an example of how there was no cabal. Let the past die, and let's move into a brighter future. - I meant to nominate this a while back, so thanks SE! I want to add that the use of the word cabal is very emotive and hints at a conspiracy. There will always be side chats and groups holding private discussions, that is the nature of any group of people. The entire article is condescending and patronising as well, and suggests positions of authority - BC/Admin/review boards - are "inaccessible ivory towers", which is clearly not the case with several promotions within the last few months.
