These articles are listed in List of measurement units, however these have no distinct difference to the Real-world equivalent. As such, I believe they should be deleted per WP:DICT. There's quite a few I think need to be deleted, so will work these in batches. None of these have been up for TC previously.

For those who think the fact these are named after "X thing" or "Y person", we delete dictionary articles all the time without looking at the etymology of the word being deleted. Some of the etymology of previously deleted articles for the same reason have unique real-world event/tradition/name origins that have nothing corresponding IU.

Additionally, my understanding is we should avoid linking to lists so redirects I think won't be useful.

I realize most will probably disagree with this, but I think that it's notable that a unit of measurement that is based entirely around Earth's properties and not universal constants, as well as named after a real person, is used in Star Wars. I must disagree with Vergence here: it's a mater of semiotic (the sense behind words): it's not used in relation to Star Wars, but in relation to the readers own understanding. For the readers to know what a Celsious or G-Force means, it need to learn it in the real world, much like " a chair", "a table" (people in the GFFA speak a language different from english or whatever earth language it can be translated to, and have their own words for things, but its completely unknown to us). It might very well transpose to something different in-universe. For example, it's a problematic Tolkien (linguist, philologist) wrote about (can't remember which book, appendix) when writing in a imaginary world, it's impossible for the characters living in said world to use the same language than us, and thus the author is a translator of "some sort" (he even provided example for westron in-universe words). It probably something elaborated in the work of Mark J.P. Wolf (academician and author specialized in imaginary world analysis), but I've yet to reads his work. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 12:42, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
