Unidentified reserve fleet (talk - history - links - logs - delete - protect)
Apologies to the nominator Vitus Infinitus, but the article does not comply with the wiki's Notability policy. The subject is only a vague, general reference, and could be referring to a fleet of any size in any location. UberSoldat93 (talk) 15:24, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
EDIT on March 25, 2020: I'd like to elaborate more on my reasoning here. In this context, we know nothing about the fleet's size, where it was stationed at the time, or its composition. If you take a look at another article, Unidentified Galactic Republic fleet, we know where this fleet was stationed, thus making it more noteworthy than the reserve fleet. Unidentified Republic fleet, another example, is also more noteworthy as we know it did battle with and was defeated by the Sith Empire, in addition to where this conflict took place. Compared to these articles, the reserve fleet article does not contain as much information, and, in my opinion, does not warrant its own article. UberSoldat93 (talk) 17:19, March 25, 2020 (UTC)

- It's a reserve fleet of the Republic. Fleets can refer to generic formations but this is the only instance in canon of a fleet acting in a reserve capacity. Furthermore, Rise of the Separatists states that there are only six reserve fleets in the Republic Navy. Information I removed to satisfy an objection.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:53, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
- I objected to that information because it referred to "six principle fleets", not "six reserve fleets", as seen in this old revison. Fan26 (Talk) 16:56, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
- That was a mistake and I'll fix it now, which could have been solved in the nomination page before a trash compactor nomination was enacted prematurely in my opinion.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 17:48, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
- I'm still very skeptical that just b/c it's identified as "reserve fleet", that makes it one of these 6 principle reserve fleets. Fan26 (Talk) 18:18, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
- There are no other mentions of a reserve fleet in canon sources except this one. Since there's no more information that contradicts this or implies otherwise, (for example it states that there are 20 fleets of the Republic Navy but Plo Koon's fleet, Anakin Skywalker's task force and etc are too small and generic and being stated to be task forces and as such are not included in this number) it would be incorrect to assume that this naval unit is another generic term since it's the only case of a reserve fleet that's known albeit unidentified. This next argument is conjecturally speaking: it also makes sense that it's one of these six reserve fleets of the navy due to the events in The Bad Batch. The six reserve fleets are commonly in the Core Worlds and this reserve fleet would be compromised if the Core Worlds planet of Anaxes falls to the Separatists. But that's just a conjectural connection from my part that I'm not including in the article.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 22:10, March 18, 2020 (UTC)
- This article is valid as a reserve fleet existed and was threatened by the Confederacy. This one fleet was significant enough to be a point of major concern on the part of Mace Windu, per "The Bad Batch". However, being a Republic reserve fleet threatened by Separatist movements around a Core World does not mean this fleet was one of the six reserve fleets that were maintained by the Republic mentioned in the Rise of the Separatists. I would remove such information regarding the six fleets as this falls under speculation, (perhaps meriting a BTS entry to acknowledge the connection with the six fleets) but the mention of this reserve fleet warrants an article of its own as an item of the Star Wars universe. - - -

- Thank you for agreeing and also for addressing concerns on the content of the article, OOM. I'd like to point out that the removal or change of information could have been addressed in the article's comprehensive article nomination.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 23:37, March 18, 2020 (UTC)

- Before anyone votes one way or another, I recommend reading the article, the CA nomination page, the article history and the related information found in Rise of the Separatists. I find it unlikely that anyone has done so due to how quickly some have already voted.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:57, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
