  1. Per Riffsyphon1024 on the talk page. This is an interesting subject and it is almost unique (with the exception for Vegas). If we just merge it into the list, it wouldn't look as remarkable. MauserComlink 11:23, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
  2. After writing the comment below, I have modified my position. Street names are not merely references but are fan projects. The city planners just happen to be the city planners. Since they are street names, they are both inherently notable and have longevity. Therefore, they deserve their own article as any notable fan project does. (although I am still not opposed merging all steet names into one Streets named after Star Wars article. IthinkIwannaLeiaWaddaUthink? 19:35, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

  4. In light of recent developments. I've been assured by a user that they can check the records to see if it is verifiably stated (by more than just common sense) that the street was indeed named for Kenobi. Mind you, I know it was, but my stance on the site's content is that everything must be verifiable per policy.   19. I retain my original comment on the talk page in that this is not an everyday occurrence and should not be deleted or merged simply because it is deemed less than notable. The creation of this road did involve a political process with documentation.   • I'd like to drop in for a moment with a few words of explanation (I won't be casting a vote since I don't feel I'm an active enough member of the Wookieepedian Community). What is interesting about Kenobi Street is that it is not only a 'cultural reference to Star Wars'. Lots of SW fans from Poland meet there and at least two official conventions have been held on site (and in the estate of Mr. Budkirwicz - a Star Wars fan that lives there). So I'm not sure whether a mention in "references" will do the justice to this place. I'm asking a couple of guys from Poland to maybe expand the article if it would make it worthy of being kept (right now it's puny - that's right). NLoriel 12:52, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
  • As opposed to Star Wars streets in Las Vegas, which is about a whole group of streets, this one could be merged into the List of...misc. If what NLoriel says is true, then it may deserve its own article (especially if the meetings are annual or otherwise continuous. Perhaps an alternative would be to make a List of streets named after Star Wars article. You could merge Vegas and Poland (and I suspect there are others out there). This would keep it separate from List of...misc. and allow pictures and expanded sections to stay. Give my vote to the underdog. IthinkIwannaLeiaWaddaUthink? 19:28, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
  • Well, I suppose that I should put my two cents in on the actual TC page. Based on the comments that I have seen here, I think that this subject may be much more prominent than we previously thought and that it deserves more than just SW misc and the Bts of its respective namesake. In order for the name of the street to have been changed, paperwork would have been needed to be filed. I have said that I am willing to go and look up the paperwork, but I can't exactly do that right away. The town isn't all that far from where I am, but still, it will be a road trip. I will also try and contact some people to see if they can do some of the leg-work for me. My greatest concern, however, is that once this article is TC'd, the chance to expand and verify the information is lost, and I believe that this street, and to an extent, the Vegas streets, should be given the opportunity.
