The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (talk - history - links - logs)
I am thoroughly convinced that the subject of this article fails notability requirements, and a primary contributor to the article appears to be a developer for it. We are not an ad service. While Team Gizka may have stalled, it at least has received official recognition. This, however, has only seemed to get some notice on an isolated gaming site. I can't find anything elsewhere and nothing official whatsoever. —Unsigned comment by Jedimasterfiolli (talk • contribs)

Merge to Cut content from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

I am one of the various contributors to this page. We have listed many sources on the page linking to many different sources of official recognition, whereas Team Gizka has NONE whatsoever. This is not an attempt to use Wookieepedia as an add service. TSLRCM has received just as much official recognition as TSLRP, if not more. If this page is to be deleted, the page for TSLRP should also be deleted to maintain the same standard for all.
Here is the list of sources again:
Lord of Hunger 10:31, May 2, 2010 (UTC)
TSLRCM is big, serious and notable. I can't understand how anyone can, in good will, claim otherwise. I have even more trouble understanding why the article on Team Gizka's vaporware is being brought up as a positive contrast, since it has like no outside sources, no references to anything other than Team Gizka's own site. TSLRCM has been referenced all over the Internet since it first came out, and a good chunk of that has been noted both in the article as well as in the comment above by LoH. Are you guys who claim otherwise just pretending this huge list doesn't exist, or what? I really don't get it. --Markus Ramikin 13:51, May 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, that list is long, correct. None of them, however, count as "significant coverage in a major mainstream media outlet". An announcement on a gaming website is not "significant coverage" nor are the websites "major mainstream media outlet". I personally have only heard of 4 of those tops. Wookieepedia has been mentioned by the New York Times, that is a major mainstream media outlet. Okay, maybe you're going for the "widespread recognition within the Star Wars fan community" section. You have a reasonable amount of recognition by the gaming community but I don't see a list full of Star Wars sites, just one or two. Bear in mind that the existence of article A is not a reason to keep article B. If it helps, you might want to ask an administrator to export this to the Star Wars Fan Wiki, however. - Yeah, there's no 1up or IGN, so it can't be that important.—BobaFett1 Bounties collected

Since the TSLRP page is also being eliminated, there is a degree of consistency with the notability policy. However, I fail to see how this falls into the category of fandom. It is a legitimate restoration of a significant work within the Star Wars canon. The fact that it is such an important topic warrants that it at least retain its mention in the Cut Content from TSL page. Also, in the future it would be helpful that the administrator when addressing disagreements over topics such as the notability policy provide a decent explanation as to the requirements of that policy. During the creation of this page, our questions and comments were repeatedly ignored.
Also, to the opening post: TSLRP has never received any "official recognition" and barely any fan recognition either. There are no links whatsoever to any sites other than their own website and their videos on YouTube.
Thank you for your time, and for at least exporting the page to the fan wiki.Lord of Hunger 03:30, May 3, 2010 (UTC)
- It falls into the category of fandom because it's not an official Lucasfilm project. Anything that is not officially licensed by Lucasfilm, whether it is a website, parody, video game mod, or anything else, is considered a fan project that must meet the notability requirements. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 05:07, May 3, 2010 (UTC)
Team Gizka may have been officially recognized, but TSLRCM seems to have done virtually everything TG wanted to do. Given how many people wanted this game restored and no one is making any money off of it, I fail to see how this is an advertisement. Deadly Stream has strangely disappeared as well, (if anyone knows why or if they'll return I'd love to know), so deleting this page will only hurt fans. —Unsigned comment by 71.224.43.90 (talk • contribs)
