Strange T.I.E. Fighter (history - links - logs - delete - protect)
The reason for nominating this article is that it is a side comment made from an unreliable witness that has no real meaning anymore. At first it was always implied that this was Darth Vader's TIE that struck the Tzarina but Empire 14: The Savage Heart makes that seem unlikely as it follows Vader's ship as it spirals out from Yavin with no mention of a collision. In addition the unusual spelling of the name in the mission as a strange T.I.E. fighter makes it seem more likely sloppy writing rather then actual canon material.
In any event the actual circumstances of the Tzarina's crash are contained within that article and having a link to Strange T.I.E. Fighter does not add anything other then making the user click on a link to learn absolutely nothing that isn't already contained in the parent article.
tl;dr
- Does not actually appear in game, just as an anecdote told from an unreliable witness
- Does not contain any additional information that isn't already in Tzarina article
- Lends itself towards speculation about whether the T.I.E. variant was Vader's ship or not

Keep
- Just one month ago, you were ready to merge this article into Darth Vader's "aftermath of Yavin" area, thinking it was sufficiently obvious that the "Strange T.I.E." was Vader's TIE Advanced x1. Now, you're trying to delete it on the basis that it is not Vader's x1. You can't be willing to dispose of this article both because you can identify its subject and because you can't. More to the point, the witness—regardless his or her reliability, which is unverifiable—has described the mysterious craft as a strange TIE, which proved it was different from the variants usually seen by the commoners. For all we know, it could be anything uncommon from a TIE Experimental M1 to another undescribed model. A similar example is the Jedi killer of Cularin. Although its description matches Grievous—a character even theorizes it IU—we can't know for sure. While that killer may or may not be Grievous, he still exists and is notable enough to warrant its own article. Same thing applies to the "Strange T.I.E." In short, its description as uncommon, its involvement in the crash of the Tzarina and the fact that it was referenced Convenient Daily Departures: The History of Star Tours make it notable enough for me. --Lelal Mekha

- Saying that it has to be an unusual variant is speculation. It could have been anything. In the article you mentioned it is called a 'strange TIE fighter' notice the lack of punctuation and capitalization differences. --praguepride (Talk) 12:19, July 3, 2014 (UTC)
- Unless "strange" doesn't mean "different from what is usual, normal, or expected" anymore, I can't see why calling it uncommon would be speculative. Additionally, I never mentioned the unusual spelling as a reason to keep the article. It's only an interesting point to make in the BTS. For that reason, I'm not sure why you're bringing this up. At any rate, I have stated my case, and so have you. I shall abide by the community's decision, as usual. --Lelal Mekha

Discussion
- Moving this down to discussion: I think the underlying issue I have with this article is the title of the page. Strange T.I.E. fighter should not be the proper title as the supplemental article does not have that spelling indicating it may not be a proper noun but instead could have just been a typo that slipped by the editors. Perhaps the article should be titled Unidentified TIE Variant (Tzarina) or something along that lines and then the term 'Strange T.I.E.' fighter just be used per quote and BtS. --167.127.218.61 13:53, July 3, 2014 (UTC)
