Random species

Utterly useless articles on random species and individuals from single panels of a comic with a... unique artist.

I'm not sure that the notability criteria for a species should be the same as for a character: but the characters are clearly not notable/distinguishable except possibly as the only known representatives of a species. Notice how the character articles are almost entirely about other people's actions? Considering how many species have not been visually depicted, and how artistic license varies the appearance of known species, there's a good chance these are known species already (this guy, for example, might be another mutant Bith.) —Silly Dan (talk) 21:36, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

    The idea of list/gallery articles collecting unidentified characters and vehicles has been rejected before -- see Forum:TC:Unidentified Rebel officers for example. —Silly Dan (talk) 21:36, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

  4. Keep! Unique species = unique article. Seriously, we need a site-wide policy on this type of thing, not a piecemeal solution via the TC. Scary that this is the tactic that is being sought rather than hashing something broader out. ~SavageBOB sig 01:29, January 26, 2014 (UTC)
    I agree on getting a notability policy in general. But after the recent failed attempts at a policy on "common Earth terms" or characters, I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to begin with one for species. —Silly Dan (talk) 02:09, January 26, 2014 (UTC)
