Merge with Rix Road riot

  1. I hate to see all that work go down the drain but imo it can (and should) be covered on Rix Road riot BloodOfIrizi Sabine Starbird (talk) 02:35, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
  2. All the work can be merged into the other article, so it will not go to waste :) . The funeral was always an anti-imperial demonstration, the occupation force allowed them 40 people later in the day, the town banded together and marched out into public as one. In effect, the funeral was phase one of the open resistance. The funeral than instantly becomes the riot once Maarva's funeral speech, which is advocating for open rebellion against the Empire, is over. No reason to cover it on two pages Editoronthewiki (talk) 04:29, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
  3. This was simply what instigated the rest of the riot. We do not have separate articles for events such as Rogue One's mission to Scarif and a separate one for the wider Battle of Scarif. This should be included as a prelude to the climactic event, not a separate one. --Vitus InfinitusTalk 01:32, 4 December 2022 (UTC)

Keep

  1. I believe the two events have sufficient differences to warrant separate articles. The Riot occurs in the aftermath of the funeral; not everyone that participates in it also takes part in the riot since a lot of people are seen running away when the first punches are thrown; the purpose of the funeral was simply to mourn Maarva while the riot was caused by a small percentage of the Ferrixians who wished to fight the Empire. The funeral should be featured in the "prelude" of the riot and the riot in the "aftermath" of the funeral.AxMech (talk) 02:00, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

  • If both are kept, will the aftermath section of the funeral just be a summary of the riot and will the prelude section of the riot just be a summary of the funeral? Loqiical (talk) 03:13, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
