Homeworld (talk - history - links - logs)
This is more a common English noun than a Star Wars term. In a sentence like "His homeworld was Coruscant" or "His homeworld was attacked by Imperial star-destroyers", everybody who can speak English will understand what "homeworld" means, there's no need to link this article.

- I do not support hyperinclusionizsm. This is Star Wars encyclopedia, not English dictionary. Mauser 16:08, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

- Article could legitimately be populated. Also, not that this has any bearing on my decision, but are you going to go through and remove all the redlinks? Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:38, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

- It's a standard science fiction term, but it surprisingly doesn't appear in my university library's dictionaries. I guess it would be worth defining. —Silly Dan (talk) 02:12, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- I too do not support hyperinclusionism, but I also support common sense. This is another case of, "it would help the reader more to have than to arbitrarily be swinging a vibroblade on Monument Plaza while blindfolded." — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 03:01, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

(s)talk 03:49, 15 April 2009 (UTC) - Per Silly Dan as Earthlings don't have other homeworlds and thus the term isn't used here. Hyperinclusionist to the core btw. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:16, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- Removing the redlinks would be a real pain. Granted, the article is common knowledge and could use some elaboration, and if it were to be deleted, redirecting it to "planet" and adding something about what a homeworld is there would work. I'm a bit on the fence about this one, but since removing redlinks is a pain, then keep it. Trak Nar Ramble on 07:28, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

- This article could easily be expanded to include Star Wars lore, such as different relationships certain species have with their homeworlds, the fate of species who lose their homeworlds, exile, the culture of a homeworld such as Corellia. It's just a case of finding out how what some deem to be a superfluous "realworld" article can be developed as an in-universe one, such as torture. -- Harrar 11:12, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

By this reasoning, we would be deleting planet, barrel, knife, etc., as well. We obviously can't do that, so the same case should apply here. —Lucius malfoy7
