The plot summary has nothing to do with Star Wars, and the rest of the article is pure original research. Are we going to have an article for everything Star Wars referenced? What next? Flash Gordon? Bible? - Sikon 13:16, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- Strip out original research and merge to George Lucas's influences, as we did a while ago with The Hidden Fortress. If the merged article gets big enough due to the addition of more sources, unmerge. —Silly Dan (talk) 13:22, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

- I love DUNE almost as much as I do Star Wars. But this has no relevance whatsoever. Don't even bother moving any of this to George Lucas influences, just delete this and start fresh there. Wildyoda 17:40, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
