So, there's seemingly been a tendency lately to create disambiguation pages for simple words that appear in a wide swath of article titles, and it's kind of reaching a point of excess. I know Fandom's search functionality isn't the greatest, but we should not be replicating the search results on static disambig pages; it's not the point of disambig pages and in fact makes them harder to use, not to mention it makes useful disambig template usages less visible if we've just slapped Otheruses on every single page.

IMO, {{Youmay}} should be the preferred template, as it requires you to give useful context to the linked articles and they don't have to be the same name (see Senate Defense Committee for example), and {{Otheruses}} should be reserved for when there are a large number (at least three or more) unique articles of the same or similar name, and that doesn't include cases where a) the disambig exists to list the system and planet only or b) cases like Arquata Station (disambiguation) where it's one thing named (or at least probably named) after the other thing. Those should rely on links in the article for the former, and a Youmay for the latter.

Yeah, disambiguation pages aren't for generic terms that simply make up a part of an article's title. These are just common nouns. OOM 224 15:33, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
