Clone Cards (talk - history - links - logs)
Basically this article is in such horrible shape. However, that's not the only reason I've decided to send this article to the TC. These Clone Cards are very unnoticeable on StarWars.com, and offer little to no information about the subject on the card. I don't understand why someone decided to create an article based on those cards. Basically I say delete this article or we could merge this within the TCW article. As it stands right now, I don't think it needs its own article. JangFett (Talk) 03:56, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

- Delete as is. If it comes back better written, with, I don't know, some sourcing, then keep. With regret. Enochf 03:59, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Delete without prejudice to re-creation in a better form. Basically, per Enochf. The clone cards deserve an article simply because they are an official citable source, as well as being notable for the first direct mention of Stewjon in an official source. However, the article is terrible and pretty much useless as is and would need to be rewritten from scratch to be encyclopedic anyway, so kill it for now unless somebody's willing to clean it up. - I could possibly clean it up later today, maybe 1:30 Central Time. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 13:14, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
Keep
- It is the first appearance of Stewjon and Dathomiri as a homeworld for two of the characters and with some work, is definitely worth keeping. If we can have a one sentence article on a Gumball machine, we can have a couple of paragraphs, plus an appearances section, for this. Everything to do with Star Wars deserves a page, including this. --Vandar Tokare42 (Talk to the hand) 04:01, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Per Vandar, if it gets cleaned up. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 04:10, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm going to have to agree with keeping the article, as unfortunate as it is. These Clone Cards are canon material and have information that can be sourced. I feel that they are kin to published sourcebooks and the Galaxies cards, albeit in virtual form. With a little work, this article can be cleaned up, especially since there aren't that many cards at the moment. Cylka-talk- 04:15, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- There's no reason that an article can't be rebuilt from scratch without being deleted --- see, for example, every FAN ever whose contents were originally on a workbench. Menkooroo 04:48, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- A valid article needing to be rewritten really doesn't need to be deleted, just slap {{Cleanup}} on it. Grunny (talk) 06:01, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

- I've rethought this one. It can be improved, and while it may only provide a little information, it is information, and it is a legitimate source. - JMAS
Hey, it's me! 12:06, September 30, 2010 (UTC) - Per Cylka. I also don't approve of this new idea that bad articles should be deleted rather than improved... NAYAYEN 12:54, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

- I'm also disturbed at the notion that valid info poorly presented is somehow worse than no info at all. Dangerdan97 17:28, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- While yes, I do agree that it needs to be cleaned up, I also agree that as a valid source, it deserves an article. CC7567 (talk) 07:49, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Can anybody give a link to the cards? I can't seem to find them. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 16:25, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- [1] Scroll down until you find them, about 1/3 of the way down the page. - JMAS

This is as good a place as any, do you think I should replace the picture of Obi Wan on the page Stewjon with a picture of the Clone Card confirming Stewjon's existence? --Vandar Tokare42 (Talk to the hand) 02:04, October 1, 2010 (UTC)
- I'd say no, as the image of the clone card would only be suitable if it were in the bts section. The current image of Obi-Wan is mostly within the "history" section, though, which is an in-universe section of the article. Menkooroo 03:36, October 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Well if I moved the Clone Cards image into the BTS section would it be better than having Obi-Wan in the history section? --Vandar Tokare42 (Talk to the hand) 03:50, October 1, 2010 (UTC)
- I'd say that's a judgment call on your part. I think either one would be OK. Menkooroo 04:09, October 1, 2010 (UTC)
