I fail to see how we can justify keeping these archives permanently as fair use, especially when they can be found with Google. There's no real need to keep archives in the first place, anyway, as actual discussions don't take place here; this is purely requests for entries and responses to those requests. If an editor needs to locate an old entry, they can be found in the page history, which isn't indexed by Google. I propose to delete these archives and replace the archive links at the top of the main requests page with permanent links to the old revisions immediately before each archiving action, and in the future simply archive the page to history with the aforementioned oldid= link.
