So over on discord I was asking whether I should use {{Election}} or {{Event}} for the Gonk droid beauty pageant, and miki suggested we create an infobox for competitions. Do people like this idea? What fields would we want? My suggestions (order pending):
- Previous
- Next
- Concurrent
- Type of event (beauty pageant, race, Limmie game, etc)
- Date
- Location
- Winner(s)
- Competitors
- Organizer(s)
- Host(s)
- Affiliations
Judges? Referees?
Should we have previous/next/concurrent (which could be relevant if it's a multistage competition) ? Should it have affiliations? Honestly I'm usually not even sure how the affiliation field works.

- I think if there are teams, it should only list the teams and not the individuals because that could get out of hand. The question is, what do we do if there aren't teams? I have no idea. Dropbearemma

- This is a very good idea! I think what'd be needed is a winner(s) field and/or a result/outcome field (I don't think they're mutually exclusive and could see a benefit from both). Is the participants field something that could risk having an overly large amount of bullet items? Thinking something like the Boonta Eve Classic of 32 BBY. - Ughhh I lost my response I'd written to this. I totally forgot a winners field, oops, added! You make a very good point about the participants field. If there are teams, I think we should definitely only list teams, but that doesn't help with something like Boonta Eve. Do you have any ideas? Also, while I'm picking your brain, what are your thoughts on host and organiser and judges fields? I feel like maaaybe we don't need judges, since that's probably fine just in the body, but do we want host or organiser? I guess I was thinking of the pageant, and most competitions don't really have a host, unless you maybe count the commentator? So I guess I've talked myself out of that one, thank you for being the rubber duck. An organiser field still feels like it has value to me? Eg Boonta Eve's organiser is Jabba, and the Voxx Vortex 5000 was organised by Vranki. See also further questions I put above. Dropbearemma

- My idea would be to... not list individual participants in the infobox. :P I'm cool with teams, since presumably there wouldn't be a metric ton of those. I like the idea of both an organizer field and a commentator/host field - I think you've given good examples for both! Judges can probably go, idk. Prev/next could be valuable. - Imp why are you trying to stop me from putting Energetic GNK in the infobox for the beauty pageant. Look at them! They deserve it!! How many massively multiplayer competitions are we gonna have? And I guess affiliation could be a wider league? Like, if it's a limmie game between the Tatooine Krayt Dragons and the Mandalorian Mythosaurs, both of whom are members of the Galactic Limmie League, would the GLL be an affiliation of the event? (obviously none of these exist, I'm too lazy to find real ones.) Or like that time the British and the Germans in eh one trench played a football game and it determined the outcome of WWI. That was what happened, I'm pretty sure. Or a deadly serious beauty pageant between the commanders of the 501st, 212th and the 327th, I guess that would have the affiliation of the GAR, assuming it is an officially sanctioned competition, which it would be.
