"Appearances should be sorted in order of in-universe chronology, with earlier sources listed before later ones." (WP:LG/IU) How should non-canon appearances be ordered? This seems like a relatively simple question, but in actuality, there is no easy answer right now. For canon appearances, this is an easy answer as all canon narrative media has some sort of timeframe, but some non-canon appearances don't really have a time. For example, we could say that LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens takes place in 34 ABY and should be listed like that under non-canon appearances, but what about things such as Ronin: A Visions Novel and Happy Celebration 45th Anniversary A New Hope? I think something should be added to the Layout guide clarifiying this issue. Maybe a bullet point could be added saying "Media whose in-universe chronology is unknown shall be listed at last, after all the media whose in-universe chronology is known. If there is multiple unknown timeframe media for a single subject, they shall be sorted alphabetically." Another solution would be to put them first, but this one doesn't appeal to me as much, though I wouldn't be super against it. What do other people think about media without a timeframe? Everyone above who commented "release date", do you mean that all non-canon appearances should be based on release date or only the ones that don't have a timelines should be all at the end, sorted by release date? ThrawnChiss7 ^{Assembly Cupola} 22:34, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
