The result of the debate was Support (note:per vote, implementation delayed until first CT to fill subpage). —spookywillowwtalk 16:41, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Alright, after two Senate Halls expanding upon this idea (first and second), I think we're finally ready to move forward. The idea is simple:
Many Star Wars video games have "cosmetic systems" (plan to use "item" over "cosmetic" going forward as it's a bigger umbrella term), some of which are deserving of articles, and some of which are not. We've never had a solid notability policy because the systems can change so differently from game-to-game that one set of rules couldn't possibly cover them all.
Instead, I propose the creation of of a "notability sub-page" that can still be linked to our notability policy page (went with the suggested sub-page as this could get fairly lengthy on it's own); the admins can figure out the best way to format it all if and when the time comes.
Once the page is created, anyone will be able to write up notability policy guidelines for any game that needs it, however, for them to be added to this sub-page/master list, each of these policies MUST clear a Consensus Track (some may be more troublesome than others). I am currently working on policies for both Star Wars: Hunters and Star Wars: Squadrons, so if those are approved, hopefully they can serve as examples on what would be notable enough for a page, what should only be listed under a cosmetics/items section on either a character's page or the game's overall article, and what is not necessary to be covered by Wookieepedia at all. But first, we just need to establish the page itself (and then find a way to make sure at least those in the Video Games WookieeProject see it, if not everyone who edits a video game title article).
Per Spookywillow's comment below, I am adding a proposal for the text at the top of the sub-page:
"This page lists the criteria for determining the notability of articles regarding the cosmetics/items featured within applicable Star Wars video games. The criteria are pursuant to community consensus as determined via the Consensus track. If relevant criteria for a game is not yet featured below, then notability remains open to case-by-case deliberation."
OOM 224 also helped add the following, which has been used to update the above statement as well:
"In Wookieepedia:Notability policy, add a new section immediately above "Wookieepedia is not a dictionary" titled "Video game items" with the following contents:
The Notability policy/Video game items subpage lists notability criteria specific to certain video game titles. The criteria are pursuant to community consensus as determined via the Consensus track. If relevant criteria for a game is not yet featured on that subpage, then notability remains open to case-by-case deliberation. → See [insert this CT here]"
I am obviously open to tweaking the above text further as necessary, this was just inspired by what is featured on the primary notability policy page, which I'm assuming will serve as an overall template for this sub-page anyway.
Finally, as reasonably brought up, to prevent the page from sitting there empty potentially indefinitely, I would like to add:
"This CT only comes into effect and has its page created whenever the first [CT to add to it] passes."

- Sorry to chime in so quickly after this is up, but before it gains traction—if this is setting up a new policy subpage, a draft of that really/ideally needs to be presented. This proposal is too vague for an admin to put into practice should it pass (ie, what would we put on this blank page, how would it be structured, would the admin unilaterally decide the flavor text for the top of it?). Also... I don't think requiring a Senate Hall before a CT is even feasible; people can technically CT anything whenever they want. It could be recommended and heavily so, but making mandatory requirements before a vote is very unusual at best.—spookywillowwtalk 14:37, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
